Family Action also provides bespoke support to young adult carers aged between 16-24. They provide a range of help and can also support you though key times of transition such as going to college, university or entering the workplace. Created with carers, the hub is a great resource for practical advice, information and support.<\/p>\n<h2>Advocacy services<\/h2>\n<p>In County Durham we have Carers Advocates who help unpaid carers over the age of 18 to be more involved and have their voices heard in decisions that affect them. They may be able to help you with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>helping carers to understand their rights and how to exercise them<\/li>\n<li>supporting carers to access a Carers Assessment<\/li>\n<li>supporting carers to communicate their own needs to people making decisions<\/li>\n<li>attending meetings with carers<\/li>\n<li>making a social care complaint<\/li>\n<li>helping carers to find other services that might be able to help them (signposting)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information visit <a href=\"https:\/\/cloverleaf-advocacy.co.uk\/advocacy\/carers-advocacy\">Cloverleaf Advocacy<\/a> or call 01924 454875.
