{"id":29,"date":"2021-10-06T09:24:16","date_gmt":"2021-10-06T09:24:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/durhamcarers.info\/?page_id=29"},"modified":"2023-11-01T13:04:28","modified_gmt":"2023-11-01T13:04:28","slug":"carers-card-scheme","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/durhamcarers.info\/index.php\/support-for-carers\/carers-card\/carers-card-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Carers Card Scheme for providers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Durham County Council, NHS County Durham, and Darlington, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darlington.gov.uk\/\">Darlington Borough Council<\/a> launched the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/durhamcarers.info\/index.php\/support-for-carers\/carers-card\/\">carers card<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"content\">\n<p>The aim of the scheme is to provide a variety of essential goods and services at discounted prices, or with added value or benefit, specifically for genuinely unpaid carers within the County Durham and Darlington areas.<\/p>\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a carers discount off all items<\/li>\n<li>a carers discount off a specific range of items<\/li>\n<li>free item(s) when a carer spends a certain amount<\/li>\n<li>interest-free credit for carers on packages<\/li>\n<li>installment plans for carers<\/li>\n<li>two for one\u00a0or similar for carers<\/li>\n<li>free home visits\/sittings for carers<\/li>\n<li>free delivery within a given radius<\/li>\n<li>any other type of long-lasting discounted or added value promotion for carers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Carers have told us the types of goods and services most important to them and in response, we are contacting a variety of established local organisations who might welcome the opportunity of becoming involved with the scheme.<\/p>\n<p>A list of participating businesses is updated regularly and can be accessed through this website.
